How to Use Woodbags Efficiently
With our Woodbags, you optimize your entire log production process. From filling to final handover, you benefit from safe handling, reduced time effort, and minimal transport costs.

4. Delivering
Using a truck or tractor/car trailer, you can easily transport Woodbags to the customer.
On a Metal Frame or Fork Attachment – Fill securely and time-efficiently
Rely on efficiency: Hang the Woodbag on a stable filling station (available in our shop) or directly on the forklift/front loader forks to start the filling process without any time loss
- Tip:
Using a filling station and fork attachment together—both available in our shop—significantly reduces your workload during filling to around 3 minutes per bag / cubic meter / ster!

Safe Lifting with Fork Attachments
With the innovative fork attachment and movable side loops, you can effortlessly lift the filled bag and only need to dismount once to hook it in.
- Robust 8-Loop System & Double Locking Clamp
on the fork attachment (available in our shop) secures the bag during filling and speeds up the process. - Advantages of Movable Side Loops
They prevent the loops from accidentally coming off, ensuring safe handling. - Palletizing
You can now lift the bag directly onto disposable pallets, and with the Admiral Maxximus model featuring integrated silo foil, rain protection is also included. - Note:
When using the fork attachment, you do not need to dismount from the tractor/forklift/farm loader to remove the loops after setting the bag down. The loops will disengage from the fork attachment on their own. (Fork attachment available in our shop.)
Natural Drying and Weight Reduction
Even during rainy winters, the wood dries to about 20% residual moisture in approximately 6 months (valid in regions with up to 1000 mm of annual rainfall).
- Storage – Distances
Keep your bags elevated from the ground, ideally with disposable pallets. Placing them directly on coarse gravel or crushed stone is possible but not recommended. You don’t need any space between the bags themselves, though we recommend arranging them in a maximum of three rows. - Regional Differences
If you split wood in November, you can already sell it as dry (20% residual moisture) starting in June the following year. In areas with over 1,000 mm of annual rainfall, we recommend extending the drying period by an additional 2–6 months. - Covering
We generally recommend not covering the bags for the first six weeks, so the logs can release the bulk of their moisture into the open air. Afterward, wait for a week without rain, and then you can cover them. We offer cover film. Versatile, Fast, and Customer-Friendly
Delivery is typically done with a tractor/trailer combination, truck, or car trailer. Our special flatbed trailer with a crane system —featuring a trolley and winch—has proven especially successful. It comes with its own power supply and allows you to unload up to 6 bags in just 20 minutes.
- Special All-Terrain Forklift
For an additional charge, you can deliver bags directly to your customers’ carports or garages. There are several providers for all-terrain forklifts (including through us). - Fast and Cost-Effective
The trailer is maneuverable and doesn’t require a specialized truck driver’s license (Class C), only Class E to B. The purchase cost is around €45,000, after which maintenance costs are minimal. - Customer-Focused Delivery
You can introduce a deposit system for the bags, where the bag initially remains with the customer and is later returned—ideal for double usage. For bulk (loose) delivery, we generally recommend the
Admiral Maxximus model.
Delivering the bags, including placement with an all-terrain forklift (e.g., under a carport or in a garage), allows you to make significantly more profit. (As of February 2025, our own price list cites €69 flat for placing up to 5 bags on the customer’s property.) Delivery costs are, of course, billed separately!
